Our Team

One principal. Same work, same standard.

We are a full-service web design and development firm. Focusing on usability and user experience, we design and program websites and web-based applications from the ground up. We build custom content management systems, automate repetitive business-critical tasks, and create complex data-driven applications.

For most of our history that meant a full-time staff. It no longer does. The change followed the tools: AI has moved quickly enough around software development that experienced hands can now cover what used to take a team. What has not changed is the range of what we take on, or the standard we hold it to.

Pete Halverson

Peter Halverson

Pete founded Aspen Digital in 2001 and still enjoys the work: planning projects, running the infrastructure, and writing the code. From 2020 to 2022 he stepped away for a full-time role as VP of Software Development at LUMEA, building out an internal team there before coming back. The appeal, for him, has always been the making, and software is only one medium for it. He spent the following year remodeling a building bought for the office, work he enjoyed for the craft of it, the same problem-solving in a different medium. He runs Aspen Digital himself now, doing what he started with: building software for a short list of clients, most of whom have been with him for years.

James Fagedes

James handles design: brand, layout, and the interfaces people have to use every day. He has worked with clients from small businesses to international brands, and comes onto projects where the design has to do more than look right.

Jeremy Mouton

Jeremy is a frontend developer who spent years making sure our work held up across browsers and devices, accessibility included. He has been on hiatus from client projects for the past couple of years, though a good deal of what we have shipped is still his.
